Jordan Wu is a China-born, Seattle-raised, Chinese-American writer and videographer whose work is shaped by his multicultural background and experience in life. Growing up in a Chinese family, he was often told what to do and what not to do, with expectations rooted in tradition and cultural values. This experience has had a big impact on his creative journey, sparking a desire to explore the balance between cultural expectations and personal identity.
Driven by a deep love for creativity, a curiosity about life, and a keen interest in the everyday struggles people face, Jordan’s work dives into the complex challenges that shape our human experiences. He focuses on the emotional and psychological journeys we all go through in search of purpose and fulfillment.
His projects often tackle big questions around finding purpose, personal growth, and human resilience. Jordan explores the complexities of cultural identity, examining how our backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences shape who we are and how we relate to others. Through his work, he aims to offer an honest look at identity and the shared human experiences that connect us, while also touching on the struggles that are often left unspoken.
Attending the University of Washington, Jordan will continued to immerse himself in his studies and his passion for storytelling, further developing his craft and creative vision.
